description: the "lunar" is a coffee table and was designed to reflect the surface of the moon which the complex geomorphology of the lunar surface has been formed by the impact cratering and the volcanism.
 

my starting point in this project was to design an object that reflects "the bright ball in the night sky". the form of the craters becomes the small dish of appetizers. you can pull out, serve, wash and put it back to its place. you can use them separately or with the coffee table itself.
 

materials: "lunar" made of acrylic polymer, corian.

description: "lunar phase" is a luminaire that reflects the appearance of the illuminated portions of the moon as seen by an observer. the lunar phases change cyclically as the moon orbits the earth, according to the changing relative positions of the earth, moon, and sun. the half of the lunar surface facing the sun is always sunlit, but the portion of this illuminated hemisphere that is visible to an observer on earth can vary from about 100% (full moon) to 0% (new moon).


my starting point in this project was to design an object that reflects the lunar phases by illuminating these gradual shapes of the object. each illuminated shape shows the lunar phase and the top part can be turned 360 degrees.

description: "ripples" is coffee table that reflects the wave traveling along the phase boundary of a fluid, whose dynamics are dominated by the effects of surface tension; ripples.


my starting point in this project was to design an object that reflects the movements of the wavelength of this ripples both with the shape of the object and the material itself.
